I am excited to hold space for a beautiful offering that will honor the illustrated book, "Thirteen Moons on Turtle's Back" by Joseph Bruchac and Jonathan London. We will explore the stories and poetry shared by indigenous cultures from all over the world that knew the wisdom of the turtle and followed a lunar calendar. On the back of any turtle shell, you will find 13 large shell segments (13 moons in a year) surrounded by 28 small shell segments (28 days in a lunar cycle). This equals 364 days, plus one day of rest.
