Join certified Dream Work Companion and Bee Shaman Dasha Bond along with Studio Artist and Art Educator, Erin Scobey as we dream with the bees and explore the ancient ceremonial art technique of encaustic painting. This mini retreat workshop will include teachings on Jungian dream interpretation techniques as well as more intuitive methods for working with our dreams.  We will dip down into a meditative state with a guided shamanic journey to connect with our bee guardians, ancestors and healing guides and angels. We will work with some plant allies that help us connect with our deeper knowing and the Dreamtime. We will then integrate our dreams in the form of encaustic paintings. 

Encaustic painting involves applying hot beeswax onto wooden panels to create a variety of images and designs. Fusing your work with heat allows you to softly bond each layer of wax together to create an encaustic painting. Encaustic works are very stable and long-lasting dating back to ancient Egypt. Mummies were found buried with encaustic portraits believed to help guide the departed’s spirit to its final resting place.

We will layer together a variety of natural and collage type materials to create small paintings using beeswax. After a demonstration of the process, you will have a variety of resources at your fingertips to play with. We will be working on recycled mat boards and wooden panels. Each artist will leave with 2-3 miniature encaustic works.

We will only offer 12 seats for this intimate setting to ensure we have enough time for mindful integration and sharing of this beautiful work.

Ticket prices are tiered to help offer scholarships to those experiencing financial hardships: Bee Guardian - $111, Bee Steward $88, Bee Companion $65. All tiers receive the same experience. 

Bee Guardian  ($111) - Covers the cost of the event for yourself as well as also helps pay a portion of the costs for another bee sister/brother to attend who is experiencing a financial hardship. Guardians help to protect the hive as a whole and contribute to the vision of expanding our teachings out into the greater community. 

Bee Steward ($88) - Covers the actual cost of the event (rental space, supplies, guest speakers, musicians, snacks & beverages as well as unavoidable payment processing/marketing fees.

Bee Companion ($65) - This reduced price is reserved for those experiencing  financial hardships and are also in need of companionship and support from our loving hive. This price covers a portion of the costs associated with the event and is based on the honor system, asking that the participant "pay if forward" to another bee in need of help in the future.
